Not every day is easy, but every day holds a reason to smile, even if you have to search for it

Finding Joy in Every Day

Life is a complex tapestry spun of multiple experiences one day at the time, sometimes shiny and happy but others truly heavy or dark. It is easy to become overwhelmed by what we are up against but also important for us to remember that every day should not and will not always go as planned. And yet, through all the complications lies a simple truth; each day holds joy deep within its core waiting to be found.

Using that to your advantage can be a game changer We might face challenges, but it is ultimately on how you look at things that determine your encounters. We must think about what makes us happy, even when life is busy and overbearing — especially those mornings. Just recognizing the tiny victories, drinking a warm cup of coffee… getting a compliment…. seeing nature at its best might ignite some positivity to make sailing through that day less heartbreaking.

Additionally, searching for smiles makes us more fortitude. However, it also involves learning how to tell our thoughts of negativity to bugger off and opening up our eyes and heart enough that we can see the beauty all around us. Whether it is with a friend, through creative writing or playing music and yes even quiet walks by yourself. It is very intentional excavation of joy — even when it feels trapped beneath a mound of obligation and anxiety.

This also goes to the power of gratitude in our drive for happiness. Reappreciating by thinking about what we are thankful for changes how we see the world; from one of scarcity to abundance. By writing what you are grateful for, it can help remind someone of all the positives they have in their life on a day-to-day basis resulting in attitude towards life that is much more positive. Those unbearable days when I just need to write one good thing that happened as a reminder.

So, in the end life is not easy but we have enough chances to be happy. However, to opt for seeking out those moments of joy allows us a life more full and rich in experience. Because after all, happiness is often in the little things waiting for us to pay attention. Look around, and you will find that some are glimmers of hope among the bleak.
